Changes through the years?

I am interested in any changes that were made to these bikes through the few years of production. Particularly interested in Australia spec models. Mine is a '99 (Blue) and I am about to start a light resto, it does not need much work at all but I want to keep it as original as possible.

I don't think there was any... Part numbers of the valves would be changed from the first model, but that's it...
May be wrong though.

Fundamentally there were no changes to the models through the years although minor variations do exist - nothing to worry about though as everything is interchangeable

Cheers guys. I thought as much. I did have a black '96 model originally and it did all appear the same thought it worth asking.

Yep, as has been said, ignoring early Japanese import '95 models, only changes are colours.

One of the few minor changes was the way of mounting the rear indicators.
Early ones like mine mounted straight to the plastic whereas the later ones mounted to a small metal plate.

Is there not some difference with Aussie lights switches being pemanantly on?

Think it is to do with the switchgear

Yeah, but there is a tiny little cover on the switchgear where the on/off light switch goes on the overseas models

Not that I am aware of. In my time I owned a 1995 import (one of the first ones made) and that definitely had a 3 piece rear.

There are aftermarket one piece tail sections, I actually have one a single seat version, but they do twin seat versions too.

If that metal plate steps out approx 8mm and is offset down about the same it is most likely part of the Ventura Rack Fitting Kit.

Anyone had any dealings with these guys?

Seems ridiculous to me that parts can be sourced and shipped from so far away at a fraction of local dealer prices. Even after my loyal customer discount.
