Winter coming on, anyone using barkbusters (or equivalent) on a TRX?

You can`t beat a heated muff, straight after they get out of the bath, LOVELY!

Ok joking aside, summer gloves are army surplus kid (goat) leather, very soft, similar to these:

Winter gloves are gauntlets, usually these from the states, great value and very warm:

The summer gloves last me years, always have a spare set kicking around as you can get them at biker rallies for a tenner a pair but the gauntlets perhaps only two winters or so before they lose their insulation abilities.
50 quid plus gloves or ones that restrict movement in any way detract from my riding pleasure, you`ll never catch me with armoured gloves!

I hate bulky winter gloves. Summer gloves year round for me. Silk inners for winter.
Apparently I am too stupid to feel the cold.

Someone gave me a set of heated grips sometime back that I'll never use.
All yours if you want 'em Dave.

I suffer from Raynaud's Syndrome which means the blood drains away from my fingers when they get too cold and I loose all feeling - not much chop on a bike. I've got heated grips and they really do help. If I could also reduce the heat loss by blocking the wind, I reckon I could get by even in the worst conditions.
Funnily enough, I prefer riding through the cooler parts of the year, don't mind the cold and wet. Hate windy days though.

I have a few customers, I manage a bicycle shop, who suffer from Raynaud's. Not much fun for them, even less for you Dave as more wind chill to deal with on the moto. Do you use gloves with a genuine Gore Windstopper membrane. I think from memory Dainese do one.

well use disposable latex inner gloves(instead of silk), your hands will be toast:)

I concider luck to have warm hands most of the time all year round, must be the amount of times that ive hit them with a hammer being a panel beater..circulation and all....but then the daycare ladies have said the same about my 8.5 year son...[warm hands]..my reply is that he,s always got them down the front of his pants...Hey..now thats a solution dave.!..
Just yesterday i went and bought my regulatory balaclava [ bike rider type..not the bank version]...for the winter..brrrrr
it was 12 degrees c ...yeah, a balaclava does it for me...and a warm jacket

hi Stu.

I spent the last weekend running moto for the QSM Battle On The Border on my XV250 (Sherlock was there on his beemer saturday for Elite A), and it was pretty chilly in the murwillumbah hills and dales.

I use DriRider Levin gloves for the cold, as they are not overly bulky, have Hipora linings(waterproof) and moulded knuckle protection.
Not expensive either.

on the pushie i use Tuff winter gloves, as they are not bulky, have neoprene grips on the two big fingers and are warm enough for winter in South East Queensland

Nah, latex is to warm for me mate, my hands boil, hence a silk or cotton innner is enough for me. Sometimes I don't even use those in winter unless it is real cold.
I guess I am lucky not feeling the cold , but I do suffer like a dog in summer.
