Who is using a Lithium Ion Battery?
How much did u pay?

I'm not and unless I was racing (or absolutely obsessed with weight) I wouldn't.

Heard too many stories of them failing

It's LiFePO4 (A123, lithium ion phosphate) you need, not lithium ion :D I've used a 4 cell one in an FZR4/6 with no problems at all, and I have one in my FZR400 at the minute. I'd use an 8 cell one in a TRX for general TRXing about though.

I get the four cell ones ('craft' type, don't pay for the plastic box!) from here-

and I use Anderson connectors to fit them to the bike which makes removing them a doddle :D
