FUNGS bike build

Fung has dropped his bike [previously RODs], in to me for a spruice up to the paint work...its an early model and has this interesting pipe welded to the frame[ yes, its origional]...its linked to the air box drain thats located on the rear left side.and under the idle adjuster knob....My rex is also a 1996..dosent have this ..thoughts.?
It has a low engine number of 000053

mine has this, I presume is it a breather to prevent moisture building up and rusting the frame from the inside out
my from number is 000099, so an early one. My Engine is not the original, so no number

With air being sucked into the carbs,.?
Just checked my 96 and definitly no pipe..my first motors number was 000455...late 96 build...black frame..

ALL the UK bikes have it as far as I know, just an oil drain from the airbox I believe.
The oil mist from the cam box breather collects at the lowest point of the airbox and the pipe connects to the airbox base only, not inboard of the airfilter. So no, the carbs do not suck air from the frame tubes as such Alex.
I`ve plugged mine, (FCR`s, no airbox) simply to stop any `extra` moisture finding it`s way into the frame tube.
