Hi All,
It seems I'm not the only one, there is quite a few web sites relating to PROBLEMS with RST clothing.
6 months ago I was in need of replacing a well worn pair of leather pants, I got a great deal at my local bike dealer on a pair of RST Razor textile pants, not 6 months later, the seam in the seat of pants let go
Today I took them back to have them replaced, money refunded, or whatever "to keep the customer happy'. I got there at 10am with pants and receipt.
'Leave it with me, I will contact the supplier and call you back in an hour or so' said the accessories manager
2 hrs later I was told that the rep was up north and travelling between towns, no mobile reception . I then wasted another couple of hours before showing up at the shop again :evil:waited for another 1/2hr, 5 hrs in total I left the store with the same pair of F*^#$@g RST Razor pants, and told, that the rep will be in on Thursday, give us a call on Friday, we will see what we can do
How F*^#$@g hard can it be???
Will let you all know the result on Friday.

Hope for the best! Can recommend all to look at PSI, all sown after measurement and at least my leathers are triple seam with kevlar thread.

I've heard similar tales of RST gear "failing" on other websites, though they seem to have been able to get replacement gear pretty much there & then.

A lot of that sounds like the shop's ineptitude rather than not being able to contact the Area Rep. Call RST's Aussie head office and when they tell you to go the shop, tell them what happened and then give them a row!

My dad bought a brand new pair of tractech leathers at the bmf, fell off at 30 on a pit bike in the wet and it went straight through the leather on the bum. Would not recommend them at all. Stick with Frank Thomas or dianese mine have been down the road loads of time and still ok, been repair once. These can't be rapaired without a hefty patch. Not good and no answer to email or the phone

Problem sorted,got a phonecall from the bike shop on Wednesday morning. After having no luck with the RST sales rep, they contacted the the Aussie importer and spoke with the manager. I have been upgraded with a pair of Paragon pro series 3, picked them up on Wednesday afternoon. I certainly hope these last more than 5 months.
The bike shop was very appologetic, and I accept their appologies.
I have been dealing with Gold Coast Yamaha for the past 27 years, from back when it was Graham Sword Yamaha. Steve, the spare parts guru is great to deal with, as you are all aware, genuine parts can be outrageously expensive, dont be shy in asking for a better price. I normally hunt around on prices for tyres, for the last 3 or more sets, I have got them from G C Yamaha.

nothing but praise for ari, steve and jason.
Also used to see graham and sarah at swordys in the 80s up southport way.
