My bike is nearing roadworthiness, I am going to need to get it insured.
Even though my bike still has less power than than a 600 because its modified I am expecting them to try it on.

Anyone know who the best company is for cover on modified bikes?

p.s. I hate insurance companies with a passion.

I tried MCE for modified insurance but the person on the phone irritated me so intensely I ended up telling them to stick it where the sun don't shine and kept it as a track only bike.

Pete recommended a provider but can't remember the name. I'll let you know if it comes to me.

I switched to Carole Nash earlier this year.
They were very helpful when it came to the mods from stock (extra bodywork , uprated brakes , after-market cans, etc)
... and cheaper than my previous insurers too.
Worth a call ???

Mate, most insurers wont be too bothered about mods tbh, just declare them ALL so they don't have wriggle room should the worst happen.

Doesn't affect premiums as much as you might think.

Just try the usual, Carole Nash, Bennetts etc. or use the usual comp sites, moneysupermarket is best.

I usually get best price from Swinton.

I think I read MCE let you have free unlimited mods minus nitrous and turbo.

Yeah I thought that but as soon as you mention an engine swap they have shat their pants.
