At last got the scanner fired up.
A while ago brinx requested a pic of the Triton I used to race.

Here you are... 686cc 8-valve, Quaife 5-speed, Lyta tank, Manx frame and swingarm, Norvil forks, TLS front brake with ferodo race linings, covered in Ti nuts and bolts courtesy of Aunty Betty's Air Force.

Feck Q-T. Scanning is like polishing... boring as batsh!t.

I'll dig some of the old albums out and give it a go. Be warned, it may take months!

heh np
I know what you mean by that aswell.. Think it will be fun.. but it really isnt. Im a fan of the old triton cross breed bikes.
Guy @ work is trying to get me to buy an old douglas. Im a fan of steel and things like that.. Sure i can appreciate a new race bike and what have you, but you still cant go past the raw steel / metal look of a old classic, or a trx

Speaking of historic racing (and money) did annyone notice the late and great Peter Brocks 05 1980 VC Commodore for sale this week? A cool AUD 495,000 big ones

(ex Rob Roy stable)

Right!
He was the man who inspired me to drive faster

and also "safer"
It was in my early bikeyears i´ve seen him live at the dutch TT every year since 1978 or 1979 (first time)...
... a short break later i´ve got a book of his "ridingstile" (sorry ! don´t know the right words...)
... since then i love to watch motobike racing
... and sometimes i try myself some racetracks (but not sooo fast as the freaks

... just for my fun...)
... and it´s the #7 i allways remember ...

Every year we have the so called "TT van Ameide"
A historic Motorcycle club does some demonstrations in our village.
(riding the village streets, with only haybales in the corners for safety)
It is suppose to be a "demonstration" but since there a lot of former national racers in that club, you can guess what it looks like !
Here's a small movieclip a made from last years "demo"

Demo...
Probably every one of them has visions of passing Mike the Bike!
