Hello;
I just put one of these on my TRX and the RPM reading is really really random.
I have searched the forum for the word 'vapour' and can't seem to find anything on it here?
I have seen pics with TRX with them fitted.
So, does anyone have one fitted?
Where are the clocking the RPM from?
Any help appreciated - mine is ticking over at 4,000 RPM and rising.
Thanks
Mark

Re: Trailech Vapour
It's a Trailtech Vapor, not 'vapour' which is maybe why search isn't showing anything
Mine's wrapped around the right hand coil wire and shows an idle of around 1000rpm. Are you sure you've got the pulse thingy set correctly. If I remember right, there is a choice between 0.5, 1 and 2- set it to 1 (I think) and it should read right. You can tap into the left hand coil or off the cdi to get a more stable signal, but I'm lazy and just really needed a speedo so am not too bothered about the tacho function (which is too small to be of any real use anyway).

Re: Trailech Vapour
Aha - the old you say tomato I say tomato thing...
Vapor you say.
I connected mine to the gray wire that feeds the original tach.
That didn't work too well.
So I tried the feed to the left coil.
I don't really want to wrap the wire around the HT lead, it will look crap - but I guess I ought to try to eliminate errors.
Thanks for your help
Best
