heya
i need a favour from some one
im currently modifying my frame
i have lopped off the subframe completly
now to strengthen the frame at the back wher it mounts to the rear engine mount
so could some one give me a measurement at the top of the clutch cover
the measurment from the clutch lever to the begining of the welded in the twin hole mount
id like the measurment from the tube weld to the top of the clutch lever
and the other way to the mount
if you need any more info please pm me and ill trya nd sort a piccie
itll be brilliant if you can
thank you

Re: need some help asap
Your question is as clear as a doggers window - do you mean the clutch 'arm'
The 'lever' is on the handlebars - post pics if it makes it easier to explain?

yea it is a little vaigue and hard to understnd looking at it again
you are completly correct from the clutch 'arm' to the top of the tube wher it meets the main frame tube ( the longest )
thanks
if you look at the trx of the month you have the crash bobbin not that side from the clutch are to ther other end of the tube if that makes sense

In a 'shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted', or a 'measure twice, cut once' kind of way, would it not have made sense to brace or jig the frame before you cut it? Anyway, if you stick a pic up and explain what you mean I'll go and measure mine for you.

Re: need some help asap
I'm even more confused now
If i knew what measurement you wanted i would walk down to my grudge & return post within 5 mins but i can't make out what you need - if you can't upload pics why not describe what you're doing so we can make an educated guess (& reply in chinese

Info below from this thread: http://trx850.motomaniac.net/forum/view ... =40&t=2319biker-nut-1986 wrote:i dont know how to uupload pictures ?
Jak wrote:POSTING PICTURES
1) When you type a message scroll down a bit and you should see tabs, one of which says "upload attachment" ... click on that, then click on "browse" and find the pics on your pc and "add" or "attach" it.
2) If you're linking to a photo on another site then open the picture in your browser and right click on it ... select "copy image location" then come into the typing message box here and "paste" ... then highlight the bit its added (make sure you have all of it) and click on the "Img" box above the box here.
3) If you have the picture uploaded (saved) on an online place like http://www.photobucket.com and then copy the [ img] bit and paste it into your post here.
When you've finished typing hit "preview" and you should see it in glorious colour.
IMG OR URL?
IMG means the picture itself will appear
URL means the link to the picture or website will appear
if it doesn't work the same rules apply as per quoting .... make sure there is or [ur l] at the start and [/i mg] or [/ url] at the end (without the spaces obviously)
Also - some of you might find this bit useful .... I've been mending quite a few lately
Jak wrote:QUOTES DON'T WORK
If you're quoting someone else then try not to delete any of the [ or / or ] marks ..... at the start of the quote it should say
(quote="Jak") but in square brackets .... and at the end it should have .....otherwise it doesn't appear in a box all nice and neat
I usually "mend" any cock-ups I spot

Re: need some help asap
I get 95mm, from the edge of the weld to the centre of the clutch arm pin. I hope that helps!
