Only ever seen them on Killerwhale's TRX (see pic above ^) but never seen them for sale anywhere. Maybe PM him?

I bought mine at http://www.artmeca-concept.com/catalog/ ... h=24_26_69. They were more expensive than the ones KW had, but i had problems getting in contact with that guy, so i ordered from this company instead. (I believe that guy was moving to the states or something?) ArtMeca's protectors are good, and i had no problems with the purchase, so i can recommend them.

Since Franck went to Canada (@HansJ: not really the states, eh?) a few months ago and couldn't take his equipment with him, he'll no longer make them

But another French guy, Didier, fills Franck's shoes:
As Franck has sold the tools for making the covers to Didier you should be able to order them from him via e-mail didtrx[at]gmail.com .

From the pictures Didier sent to a German TRX forum member, I noticed his covers are slightly different from Francks:

You can click them to enlargen them a little - the pic from the Sachsenring is of far more greater resolution so you can zoom in (and notice the scratch on the lower edge from the triple left corner at Oschersleben).

EDIT: Just a recommendation for fixing the carbon covers:
I used (very few) spots of adhesive for (modern) windscreens. Veeery strong hold!
Easy and cheap (for free) to get from a glazier's workshop (the remains in a ditched tube may be sufficient).

Since I have a cold at the moment I don't feel like going in the garage to take some better pics of the covers ...

The main differences I noticed are that the generator cover from Didier does not comprise the holes for the screws as Franck's does and that Didier does an additional cover for the water pump. Also Didier's cover for the clutch is bigger.

The whole set (covers for clutch, oil pump, water pump and generator) is EUR 120,00 (plus shipping) for the polished parts as shown in the pics (EUR 100,00 for the unpolished parts).

I don't know to where in the world Didier will do the shipping - simply ask him (maybe with greetings from the German TRX forum?).

Weren't some members of the French forum hanging around here, too (e.g. Sweeeeetb (one of the mods there AFAIK), jayduile, kiki, kekininenglish and others)?

if someone gets in touch with him, see if he'll do discount for a multipull run as it may work out cheaper if he buys enough or makes enough for a bigger batch run. then see how many are interested off of here for a set

Pure luck that my last spill didn't end up in a 70 m long oil-trace, the oilpump cover bulged when i pressed my finger against it...

@phuk: It's no matter of like or dislike.

If you zoom in in my pic of Sachsenring you can see a stress mark on the lower edge of the generator carbon cover (as mentioned already).

I say: Better in the carbon cover than in the "real" generator cover - and not being able to complete the track day(s)!

I don't deny the benefits for track days - I have home made bolt on covers (which also look shit)- but these are semi permanent, as in glue on, aren't they?

Yup, glue, silicone or similar. To be honest, i don't like the looks either, maybe one should spray them in silver. That's why i don't have the clutch cover, with my crash knobs and exhausts, there's almost no chance it will touch grounds. Function before looks!

Hi!

The carbon covers on my TRX look (at least for my eyes) better than the scratched clutch / water pump / generator cover from the visit of the gravel bed in Oschersleben

The poor TRX did slide on the left side into the gravel bed - I (passively) did my best to follow ... and had to watch the gravel summing up ander the leading wheels and causing poor TRX to flip on the right side

Thus the damage on both sides despite existing crash knobs and thus the use of (all) the carbon covers on my TRX.

Here's something new about the covers: yesterday, didier wrote to me, that he is still in touch of making the covers, but he's not satisfied with the carbon quality he had to use for the moment.
And the delivery of something new stops at the moment because of the rumble walkout in France now. So we have to wait a little longer.
