Wavy disk rotors for the TRX

I'm thinking of putting a wavy disc rotor on the back wheel of my TRX to reduce both weight and surface area. The TRX is not the most modern of designs, and I reckon the rear disc is too big and a tad prone to lock up if you stamp a bit heavily on the pedal. Call me a wimp; but since my moto-cross and enduro days, I've always preferred a back brake that isn't too fierce.

I see that "sandybikespares" offer quite a nice wavy rear disk on ebay for £40; and the August TRXOTM sports a very nice item (what make is that?). Has anyone any experience of these rear disks?

(If my new back disc works OK, I might put wavy ones on the front in due course, if only for the sake of fashion!)

Wavey discs are expensive bling, to solve the harsh rear i spent $100 on a Brembo rear brake caliper from a Mille, half the size and a far more progressive bite and feel, not to mention bling factor as i have Brembo's up front as well (95 Japanese import).

BRAKING brand do a half weight rear disc(not wavey) quite cheap, check them out.
besides, as far as ive researched, Wavey discs form a far more practical benefit on the front than the back anyway and theyre expensive even for chinese crappers on evilbay!!

What about adjusting the foot pedal position so that it is sits lower than normal? That way you have to push further and have naturally less force when you do brake. Would be an even cheaper solution.

rear brake is totally bling. You would be better suited to gettin an angle grinder, spending a few hours accurately drawing the shape / waves you want and cutting them out / shaping it properly.

Theres no difference for rear imo.
