Black runs in my family, but it's possible!
I was actually going to get gold carriers on the brake discs, but I forgot to ask & they sent black... Gold discs are passe any way
Gold spots were $80 AUD, kept my eye out on eBay

Re: Winter overhaul!
I have been making some progress, slowly!
My parts arrived for the top end rebuild, valve stem seals, cam chain, iridium spark plugs,, gaskets & most importantly rings!
First things first:
Wild Turkey & dry.

A nice seat.

Something to work on. this is my old head, I will be swapping over my old head most likely bores (I need to get them checked &honed first though), & they need a bit of a clean...

Halfway through!

Mostly complete.

I soda blasted the head & barrels, very cool process, a bit messy though, you end up looking like you've been at a christmas party with Charlie Sheen
All the valves cleaned up on the wire wheel, just need to measure valves & springs to make sure they can go back in, then lap the valves in.
All going well, the bores will come up fine, if not I'll have to strip my current engine down & get those bores sorted.
More soon!

Re: Winter overhaul!
G'day Adam (welcome!), thought about it, but from what I understand the gains are negligible & probably not worth spending the cash on.
