Found a bit of old punched Aluminium kicking around the shed yesterday so decided to whip up a bug screen for my radiator with it:
Slight loss of airflow on the sides from the mounting strip. Might drill all these holes out later. Meh. Couple of bucks worth of rubber strip along the edges from Clarke Rubber. It's all Al and very light weight. Rubber mounted using grommets (Clarke again) at the bottom so is not likely to fatigue fracture anywhere. Takes about a minute to fit or remove.
Now that I've got the dimensions, tempted to make a CAD model and get our sheetmetal dude to knock one up. Would make it all from one piece so none of the problems I had with riveting and loss of airflow. Could also have slots instead of round holes. Maybe even hexagonal holes, depends on what punches he has or whether he reckons to laser cut it instead.
Anyone interested if I make a couple of extras?
Ride Well!
Cheers, Dave.

Yeah, could do it in stainless Mince, but Aluminium is nice and light and looks schmick in black. Easy to punch too. That's about $75 Aussie - might be tough to match, won't have any fancies like the logo (unless laser cutting ends up cheaper). Be nice to make a couple of bucks for my effort too. I'll aim for $50 and see what I can get for my money. Will advise.

Finally got the proto punched by our sheetmetal dude. Looks pretty good. Will see if it fits tonight and then take a couple of pics.

Seem to have stuffed up the top mount point though, needs to be a cm longer. Oh well, that's what prototypes are for. I'll put some rubber stripping on and paint it black to see what it looks like - may as well get my money's worth out of it.
Still waiting for pricing from him...

Cheers, Dave.

Adjusted the top mount point on the prototype and painted it black. Fits up perfectly:
