I can, when I use it, ride between fuel stops without any discomfort.
Mine was off another model bike, so it looks a bit daggy on the seat, but they are really good.

Me too, but then i have owned an FZ750, the last word in discomfort (cracking bike tho)

Update:

Ok, I used the linisher to sand both the TRX and WR450F seats.

It works a treat.
I put the cover back on the TRX seat and I can just see a few tiny lumps if I look hard, so I might take it back off, freeze the seat and sand those out by hand.

I haven't had a chance to take it for a run yet, but sitting on the bike in my workshop it definately feels more comfortable.

I think all the test riders are in leathers, so the seats are fine with leathers but too slippy with fabric clothing, which is probly designed to have a low friction coefficient thingy. makes me wonder if you would slide further/faster after an off with your bum coated in 10/40

I reckon anyone who doesn't wear leather on the road needs to think about aquiring some!

I wear full leathers, even in the middle of the Aussie summer.
I like having a full coating of skin too much to risk riding without it!
I'll put up with the heat.
Thinking about it, I only really get hot when I stop anyway.

I only linished the foam to make the seat more comfortable for my 47 year old arse to sit on!

Update: I took it for a 2 hour (each way) ride today ..... what a difference! It was only towards the end of the second 2 hr stint that I had to move around on the seat a bit to rest my arse.
I might pull the cover off again and "tweak" the foam a little to get it spot on this week.

Greg, if you stand up on the pegs every ten minutes or so for a couple of secs you will find that you can extend that time well past 2 hours. By the time it gets uncomfortable it's too late. I usually stand up as I drop out of highway speed on entering a town.

Thanks Dave, never tried that before, though I do stretch my legs fairly regularly.
I usually wait until I'm aching before standing up! DOH!

I took a bit more out of the seat foam trying a different method ... a wood rasp (sort of like a hell-chunky file with teeth!)
That works really well too, but you need to continually come in from different directions with little to no pressure or it starts to tear the foam in chunks.

The freezing idea is really a waste of time IMHO. It just didn't seem hard enough to make much difference. Maybe my freezer doesn't get cold enough, I don't know.
I even tried spraying some water on it the second time I tried the freezing method to help it get harder. Still not that impressive.

All good now, got a lovely comfortable seat on my TRX and I can touch the ground on my WR450F.
