Nah, it's all cool Red, Cobba's just having fun, Lars has done a great job, I'm really happy with the result I ended up with and am pleased with the method I used to solve the problem.

Er... Do you think I need counselling?

You come up with a good idea, you go to all that trouble, you offer free advice and even free samples
.... and all the others just rubbish it #-o
Well 10/10 to you mate ... Now if you're thinking of 'inventing' a DIY pillion seat cowl, can I put my name up for the free sample :D

Bloody hell Cobba, what have you done to yourself?

Yeah, I had a couple of minutes to kill so decided to cut the two remaining ones.
Don't forget:
(1) Clean the triple clamp first with turps or similar.
(2) Make sure the steering stem cutout is aligned to the big hole in the middle and THEN check that other features line up. I set about a 1mm clearance in from the actual triple clamp outline for the protector, so don't look for an exact fit to the clamp. Just place it onthe clamp first whilst the backing strip is still on - you'll see what I mean.
(3) Peel off the backing and carefully locate the scratch cover.
(4) Peel off the white cutting guide AFTER you've stuck the cover down and use more turps to clean off any excess adhesive left from the cutting guide. If you try to take the cutting guide off first, you run the risk of putting a permanent crease if the scratch cover!

Let me know what you think when it's on. Ok in black? Clear would've been nice? Should've been silver? Etc...
Ride Well!
Cheers, Dave.

By the way Bob, I met Rich the other night (aka The Model Citizen). Maybe he can help me make a mold for a seat cover. All I need is a sample to begin with!

You poor, poor bastard, Dave............

I'm a lot like Rich, except I'm older, shorter and slightly heavier (.........come to think of it I'm nothing like him at all  ) How 'd you meet him? Was it thru Caspar?

Yeah, went to his factory to catch up with Caspar - hadn't seem him since the Xmas Partee. We spent a LOT of time talking about Pantahs! (I've only just retired mine - can't afford the rego for it and the TRX alas.) Top bloke. So if you're similar, but "older, shorter and slightly heavier" you must be a dead ringer for Robert Smith.

We're saving up to try and get over there Corners, so I just might get the opportunity to take you up on that. Alternatively, if you're ever down in Aussie to ride our roads, drop in for a coldy.

You're welcome Ekoja, glad you like it.

Mincehead, I sent one over to Corners R Us and it's only the cost of a normal letter, just PM me your address and I'll send one over. You owe me a beer though if I ever make it over to Blighty!

One last one to go. Wombat?
Ride Well!
Cheers, Dave.
