levers and rearsets

They are from Thailand are they not? (can`t check from here).
The machining quality is obvious from the images, the material specs are good and they are rebuildable, good quality fasteners used too. What`s to be concerned about, would you have a problem with the kit if it were from Japan?
I`m all for supporting new businesses and at those prices the likes of Gilles and LSL get hung up as rip off artists if you ask me.

I start to wonder about anything that claims to be universal to be honest!

I have a lot of stuff from the east and at the moment I still think there is some kit that is unbelievably good value (these might be) and some stuff that still suffers from poor fit and finish.

They are well advertised, and they do look good, but for a bit of piece of mind I like to do a bit of reading on just about everything I buy these days - it saves cash in the long run.

Well yes I agree the `range` of universal fitment is likely a tad misleading but for the cost of having to change a link rod or rose joint / clevis pin etc they are still VERY good value.
Me being confident in my engineering abilities means that I do tend to see kit in a slightly different light to some folk.

My set of shorty levers arrived yesterday, probably preaching to the converted by now but I'll add again that they are superb bits of kit. Like the others I put the sleeve on the clutch lever from the original over to the new, and threw a couple of washers on and roberts your mothers brother.

Dead happy with it. Rear sets next.

I don't have a picture of the TRX one sorry, but it's the bronze sleeve you can see in this picture.



The TRX and R6 one have different internal diameters, so worth swapping them over for the sake of a couple of mins.

can someone confirm for me that the hole centers for the footpeg hangers are 75mm? And that YZF750/chunderace efforts *should* fit - should I happen across a set of those at good price.

Do the rearsets then wade into the murky waters of shock/front end conversions, I think.

im also interested in the answer to the above, im tempted by a pair of these universal rearsets so need to know bolt spacing if anyones got a bike to hand they can measure?

Well I measured them on the bike, and I reckon it's 75mm but thought I'd check.

Cheers mate, i've see 80mm elsewhere on the net so im unsure now!

I have a spare hanger and peg set and have measured the hole centres by eye but using a steel rule and they seem to be 73mm.

mmm I thought you might say that. Difficult to do it on the bike but it never quite looked the full 75.

sent that bloke on ebay a message about 73, or 75mm spaced rearsets, see if he gets back to me.
