rizoma levers

hello all
im looking at getting some rather tasty rizoma billet levers but like most things trx, rizoma dont make them specifically for the trx. However they make them for most modern era yams eg r1, r6 and fazers.
Yamaha being yamaha, im thinking that the levers from one of the bikes mentioned above will fit the trx but im wondering if anyone has done this already and could give me a definate yes before i invest in a set.
Its only the levers that change, the bar mounted clamp part remains as standard so im hoping its universal between all yams?????

As i got the R6 master cylinder/lever i bought a set of early R6 replacement levers and the R6 fits TRX clutch side....perhaps not a perfect match but good enough!

I've got an R1 clutch lever mount on my TRX....

TRX brake lever fits but does not work properly on R1/R6 master cylinder. I had to take some metal off the lever. I guess the other way around will work, but be careful, it looks as a perfect fit but obviously some measurements differ slightly.

I've just fitted some CRG levers to mine that I got for £115 for the pair at the Excel bike show. As per Honk, I've also used the R1 clutch bracket mount. The brake lever is a straight swap, but you'll need to insert a brass bush on the clutch side.

Hey Bill,

I've converted mine to a Pazzo-lever-set. Mine is the short, black version.

This is what they look like... and the feedback in handling is WOW!






As you should notice, the brake lever is just a simple exchange with the original one. The clutch lever is fitted in a R6 ('99-'04) holder. The converting takes about 10 a 15 minutes tops!

These guys are supposed to be harmless. However one nearly killed me the other day when it fell off the sunvisor on to my lap when I was in the ute. I think I scared the guy in the next lane as well Still could be worse. There was a story doing the rounds of a rider who got caught in a shower so flipped the visor down. To his horror there was a hunstman spider on the visor. He tried to flick it off. To his HORROR he couldn't flick it off. It was on the inside lol.

I got a pair of hong kong copies from a mate who had to shave a little off the brake lever as they didn't do his exact model. R1 levers change with model year. Look on ebay at std levers to see which other models suit your master cylinder and clutch lever.

I forgot to say that i think 98 r1 levers are the same as trx.

Yep, 99-01 R1 levers form eBay are on mine, brake fit straight on, had to change the clutch perch though.
