Blimey Charlie, what a difference! (clip-ons swapped over)

I love my bike to bits but it was becoming a pain in the neck, literally, after a long ride. Today I swapped the clip-ons over (right on left and vice versa) and flipped them upside down so now they're pretty much like a flat bar, only still clip-ons and I think it looks really cool. I also took the fairing off again cos I was bored and put the generic enduro headlight back on. I've just been out for a spirited* ride and it's loads more comfortable than the standard clip-ons but still more 'racer' than Renthals and risers (and I can hang on past 100mph!**) I like it
* Obeying the speed limits,
naturellement
** I would assume. On a private road.

Imagine a scruffy, er, well-loved TRX with upside clip-ons and no fairing and you're there!
edit- pics now, a bit crap cos I've only got a camera phone
Please note- bikes are for riding, not polishing.

Yeah it is one of those (Vapor - slightly different spelling). How is it Kayla? Reads accurately? Robust? Easily readable? I saw these a while ago and was turned off - but if they are ok I might give them a run.

Is that a stubbie cooler on the right with the jolly rodger on it or somewhere to put your nail files and make-up..

It seems fine so far. The speedo is pretty stable but the tacho is a bit random- I think I need to wire it into somewhere that gets a definite pulse rather than wrap the signal wire round the spark plug lead. I've got it wired into the headlight so it gets power when the switch is on, rather than tap the system and have it powered permanently. There's an alarm fitted and I didn't want the alarm to think there was something 'wrong' and keep going off all the time.
The whole thing's a bit of a lash-up to keep the bike on the road while I change stuff on it. When we move and have somewhere secure to take it apart and do stuff properly, I will do.

Mine may be clean but it's not polished or pampered. A quick rinse if it's dirty after a ride and a decent clean as and when I can be arsed

I've got my Vapor tacho wire spliced into the coil wire and it's very stable now. Did try the wrap method for a while but it was spiking erratically.

Does the reversed upside down bars idea work ok with the fairing on?
