Well what a suprise.. $150 for a set of olins front springs... with cheaper options ranging from $50 upto $150 for a set of .9kg/mm rated linear springs .. I didn't think they would be so cheap. I'm sure I'll find more issues now with rebound and damping but its a good start and I'm sure it will make a HUGE improvement than the flogged out std jobbies. And what to do to the rear end to compliment.mmmmm

That sounds like a good deal. If you don't mind telling everyone, where did you get them?

ohlins linears are fantastic
normal £60-70 direct from the regional supplier

Poked my nose in (just out of curiosity) at startline racing at Moss st. slacks Ck. when on a mission to grab a couple of oil filters at the Yamaha dealership down the road and chasing jets for the fcr's. For that sort of money and the handling improvements gained I'm sure it's a small sacrifice (which ever price you want to pay) Bit like buying cheap maxis tyres..work pretty good but ultimately just don't get the mileage..

Yeah Cobba, my Ohlins springs were about $130 back about 5 years ago. Didn't like them at first but with a few more kms under the belt they became very compliant. Looking at getting the rear unit rebuilt soon too. Might see if I can get it done with a Hyperpro spring as mentioned earlier.

Yes, worked out spring rate as per weight... and for my purpose(track, street race, touring,etc).. On the thread on here that had the program to work all that stuff out as such.. And noticed i would have to change the rear spring rate also.. But thinking about rebuild and changing spring at present myself to start ..(unlesss I get some positive feedback on other options to make me think otherwise) Was that just a spring manufacturer you mentioned as such?? Hyperpro was it??? me and my short term..aaahhh what do they call it again...oh yes memory loss..
