working out correct spring rate???

AAAHHH.. been tearing whatever hair I have out looking 4 the last few hrs trying to find the thread that has the link to it that you can post in your weight and intended useage for your bike..eg. touring.sports,race..and it gives you a guide for spring rates front and rear... I worked out the front rate...mmm silly boy didn't note down the rear tho... for an 76kg bloke like myself .9kg/mm front but ???? rear...

thanks mate not the same one as doesn't give the rear spring rate per weight but does give the std rear spring rate..so thanks.. I remember the rate was just .5 or .75 over std tho so ...mmm I think...BUT...best to be sure... Thanks again for your time and effort =D> =D> =D> :wink:

That`s ok,it`s a pleasure.
The Racetech calculator does state that 75 kg is the perfect weight for the standard rear spring rate.
So whatever shock you plump for you can quote the desired spring rate at least. :wink:

7.5kg over std 82.5 sounds familiar....thanks again..Just trying to understand the arithmatic behind front spring lengths at present and trying to find a threshold for minimum length on another thread :roll: :lol: :lol:
