I remember seeing that for sale about 12 - 18m ago on ebay. Think it was actually with the same pictures...

Funny how it 'blew up' yesterday, just before the guy emigrates: some people have no luck at all do they?!? Before that, it ran fine though..

He's anodised the cases GOLD. Bring back hanging, I say.

Love the concept. It would make for a great tool for hooning to and from Abergavenny on ! However I suspect it's 'one off' nature and recent (yeah right!) engine woes would see it sat in the garage being spannered more often than not !

Wide berth seems the appropriate action for this one me thinks......

Conceptually it's a fine thing, but just have a look at the geometry. I suspect it's safer for all concerned that it doesn't run...

Hey do the XTZ hubs fit into the TRX forks and swingarm. I've been trying to find a set of hubs that I could put Excel rims and spokes on my REX.

"The airbox is from an XTZ 750 with no air filter as it is not needed because with it the engine runs to rich."

That sounds like a real pro to me!

I don't think so. The bike in the advert is not fitted with TRX forks and swingarm.

Nice idea,and a fully sorted one would be terrific fun too.
Do XTZ`s handle badly?
Likely the blow-up is because of the usual TRX habit of oil guzzling and some ignorance/lazyness on the owners part.
Unfiltered too?
Well apart from increased valve,piston and combustion chamber wear unless it was weakening right out on fuel/air mixture it would not have led to a blown motor,possibly undergeared and over revved is a more likely scenario too.
Anyway I digress,yes,I love alloy rimmed spoked wheels,one day I`m going to utilise some KTM hubs with gold anodised talon rims,all laced up with polished stainless spokes on my MuZ Skorpion.
Wee bit of bearing/spacer/spindle work required but it`s a peachy job when it`s done and they are incredibly light,especially when compared to the abusively heavy standard Grimeca cast alloy wheels.

There is a dude here in Brisbane that can cut the hub section out of a set of TRX wheels and weld a flange for the spokes. There is good and bad doing it that way. Good is that it will bolt straight back in. Bad is that I don't like the idea of the welded flange and I reckon the hubs would look pretty ordinary. He also wants $3000 with the rims laced up. I'd buy carbon wheels for that much. I spoke with Talon here in Brisbane, They said they would have a look at doing a front hub if I was serious and committed to buying. They only do single disc fronts last time I looked.

I love that! I really like the look of the stumpy tail. I would do a slightly different style tank and bar wise but it's along the lines of something I've got in mind for the second project. Shit! I haven't even really started the first project. Oh well

It looks like it should be a tricycle...needs a second wheel at the back and it would make perfect sense.

Always had a picture in my head of building something similar if ever I binned my bike.

Like the seat unit. The grasstracker look is always a winner!

Wouldn't have painted it in Harley XR orange though, would have gone for something completely different, maybe black.

Love to see a shot from the other side to see where the pipes run.

I presume thats probably an entire front end off a supermoto as it has a single disc?

Is that the air filter popping up through the tank? (or is it just pleased to see me!)

Haha...I just found that picture yesterday while doing a random TRX850 on google images...was going to post it up also but Tarwetijger beat me to it. I quite like it!! Very rad concept!

Didnt that Swiss bloke put the supercharger through the tank on his Harley special.
(Now your going to ask for pics arent you?, Books in the loft at mo, and Fritz Egli is the bloke, bit good with Vincents!) and I cant find any pics on the web.
