Hi All,
Have read all the threads on this upgrade and just want clarification on a few points.
1. It seems there is no issue with clearance to the standard subframe. Is this right?
2. Can I use the original rear shock?
3. Which dog bones work better for this conversion- TRX or YZF? Any opinions.
Thanks,
Stu

Thanks for the clarification phuk.
For me it is one of those because you can things.
I have seen it done on a few bikes including some here and I like the look of it.
Because I am a fan of the "steetfighter" style,(I know you aren't but that's cool, each of us to our own. I appreciate "normal" looking TRXs as well), it suits the look I want for the bike and also allows me to run a 180 rear tyre on the correct wheel.
I know there is always debate about swing arms and tyre size for the TRX and whether some mods offer a performance benefit or not, but in the end of the day for me it comes down to what makes each of us happy.
Oh, and it will also go nicely with a rear end fairing mod I have in mind a little down the track too.
Cheers

Yep some people change everything, upside down forks, R1 bodywork, wavy discs etc. And still they need something faster; Dont they Pete ?
Each to there own, wouldn't be the same if every bike looked as it did when Yamaha first made them, would then be a Fireplace/R1/Gixxer lol.
And yes I have a 180 rear wheel on mine and YZF dogbones, because I can.
