Hey,

All my conversions were never posted here (only in my own topics), but this one should fit in good because I finally have my 1995 Brembo 'gold' spots working with a Aprilia RSV 1000R Factory '06 radial brake pump with Pazzo lever...












Only the 'bite' has to wear in with the new sintered Galfer 'Gold' brake pads G1375

It's a great difference so far, should only get better once it 'bites' a bit harder.

Looks good Gerben. I recently picked up a second TRX to use as a daily while I finish my other TRX build, and as a track day bike after. It came with the brembo calipers so I might have to try this caliper/master cylinder combination if it works well for you. Was there a reason you chose the RSV master cylinder over other radial units?

No, not really. It was an option when I bought the Brembo's, so I didn't even have to think twice when buying the master cylinder too ofcourse

Tarwetijger, also a member here, does have the same master only with R6/R1 silver spots. In the future I hope that we can swap bikes for a moment to feel any difference.
Although he has a USD conversion in the front of his 'old' YZF750R.

Good job on buying a second TRX and with your project. I'm looking for a track bike too, dunno what it's gonna be in the future, 2 cylinder ofcourse, thát's for sure

Talking of radial master cylinders,how about these VERY sexy beasts from ISR?
(15mm recommended for four piston calipers):

The 2010 New Year sale has some useful discounts too,plus they`ve a great range of sprockets for all kinds of aftermarket wheels and even blanks that you can buy and have machined up to your requirements.

It's a 19mm if I am correct

Hey Trixz,I currently have a 3/4"(19mm)radial master cylinder on my TRX from a Suzuki GSXR750 if I remember correctly.
I find it`s a tad spongy,15mm M/C`s are the recommended size for two four piston calipers.
That`s why those ISR ones are soooooo appealing to me,(apart from the cost obviously).
They`re very well made,top quality kit.

about the 'tad spongy', I will come back on that in a while. I don't have that feeling right now (only did about 15km back to the shed )

The ISR ones are certainly a great option

Well the brakes on the daily commuter finally needed new discs and a major overhaul. Was interested in Gerben's radial m/c set up so thought I would upgrade a little, can never have brakes that are too good.
Now running R1 blue spots with Brembo 19/20 forged radial m/c, S3 wavy rotors and EBC HH sintered pads.
Lever feel and power is awesome, very happy with the combo.

I did a +700km trip to Luxembourg last Sunday and I must say, nothing 'spongy' about the master cylinder

Can't show anything of the trip sadly, as my camera went *nuts* and couldn't take more than 10 sec of recording (or was the camera just scared of my riding skills ).

Thanks Gerben,

I originally rebuilt the blue spots to go on the TRX project bike, but decided the Brembo 'gold' spots which were on the TRX commuter would suit the project bike better, so swapped them around. Will now run them with a Brembo radial pump also. Should be even better on the R1 front end.

That is a nice combination, rarely seen! Everybody does the the 'spot' conversion with an USD.

Technically the 'spots' are better, but just a little imho than the 'gold' ones
