FZR 600 forks

Ok so still got me forks in i got from Phuk72 and they have done me well, however they are a bit soft these days so i want to take em apart and plop in some new springs and fork oil only prob is as they arnt orginal i dont know what oil wt or level to go for and im not sure what springs to order think we had decicded mine were from a 600 foxeye if that make a diffrence ?

I looked for and found the springs for sale in the tweeks online cat but the mesurements have confused me some as they dont seem to tally with what race tech say they should be ?

according to race spec i need this setup RT FRK SPR 34.7x340mm 1.0kg and rear it dont recomend one but i would imagine the fact im 20 stone would mean i need a stiffer spring in there aswell ive got yzf dog bones in it so the rear is higher as it is but think it needs to be beefed up a little any suggestions on a spring to order from the tweeks online store? or maybe another supplier ?

race tech list these for fzr forks which appear to be diffrent dia RT FRK SPR 31.7x340mm 1.0kg anyone confirm they are diffrent ?

It was over a year ago but I seem to remember having issues regards spring diameter between FZR600 & TRX ones when trying to mix & match. I used Hyperpro progressive springs in the complete FZR fork assembly in the end.

thinking maybe hagon springs they seem cheaper than hyperpro and both are progressive so dont see much diffrence tbh then if i can figure out which spring i need to order for the shock from eibach then ill tear out the shick and whack that in

Also remember having to cut down the top tubes/spacers so replacement springs must have been a bit longer than standard. Still need to cut some off actually (thanks for reminding me) as the top caps are still a bit tight going on. I don't ride hard enough to notice how much better the Hyperpro springs are but the front of my then TRX & now FZ750 was a fair bit firmer afterwards using the FZR forks. Don't know how much is down to springs being pre-loaded from spacers being too long.

think i might go for the hagon ones they seem a good price and maybe use some heavy fork oil aswell just to make sure they can cope with all my pork loaded on the bike

well got the springs got the oil got some seals now just waiting for the evilbay forks to arrive that were sent on the 29th .............

I paid £80 for a set of fzr600r forks that are meant to be in exc cond if they ever arrive that compares to a stanchion that would cost me £90 on its own to sort the pitted leg out
