hey people, happy new year,
very warm and dry here in nz at the mo
now i was hoping someone could tell me if there is a set of levers that are a direct fit for the trx, as i would like to fit some aftermarket pazzo? type levers, ie r6 year? r1 year?, or even a different make, gsx 600 ??.
just want to change the levers, keep the rest stock if poss.
o and now im asking what about rearsets, same questions as well, thanks in advance

Quick answer is nothing is a direct replacement (although it can be made to fit) and very few people make rearsets for the TRX and AFAIK nobody makes shorty levers as direct replacements

i was supplied LSL levers for my TRX.
made specifically for TRX/YZF600 so direct fitment with no mods.

There's a bloke in Hong Kong listing Coerce rear sets on Ebay but they are expensive. I got a front sprocket cover from him, again pricey but nice.

The Ebay seller in Hong kong is maxmcdirect - good service & good product, we bought some Coerce rearsets for Wendys bike recently. Thought the price was pretty good, £50 cheaper than anything Harris do & Harris no longer make anything for the TRX (not many people do)

Due to Parcelfoce loosing then finding a parcel, I've ended up with a spare coerce front sprocket cover (cost about £80 ea with p&p, ended up paying for two) if any of you are interested?

I've already got one but my wife may be interested at the right price

Serious question. rather than risk modifying perhaps the most important element of a motorcycle (the braking system) and risk the lever jamming or upsetting the structural integrity of the lever causing it to break under load, why don't you simply buy an R6 master cylinder and an R6 clutch perch and then fit teh respective levers. Shoudn't cost you more than £30 for R6 mc and clutch and you could then sell your old stuff.

Bought R1 07 version of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BRAKE-CL ... ccessories. Brake lever fitted bolt on to TRX MC. Clutch lever required a brass bush and some washers but all very easy. Bought as was waiting for an 07 R1 MC to be delivered from ebay and as these arrived first I tried fitting the brake lever to the TRX MC. There is a tiny amount of lever free play in the up and down range so it is not perfect but pretty bloody close. Quality is excellent at the price. I got the silver shorties.

Because the R6 brake lever bolts straight on the TRX m/c.

The clutch perch you will need to change, however.

M.V. What year R6 or any year? What do you need to do to the clutch perch?

It didn't fit on mine without fouling

That's strange... Mine's an Australian delivered version, which is the same as the European version, yes?

I used the 99-01 from memory, the only thing I needed to do was make a bush for the clutch lever & get a new clutch perch from the wreckers, which cost about $25.
