Now call me stupid, but................

Recently bought some cats eyes mini indicators for the TRX along with some bodywork spacers.
Haven't tried the back ones yet but when I tried to fit the front ones, be stuffed if I can do it!
Do they need some sort of additional backing plate at the rear of the bodywork to hold it all in place?

Also while I'm here, bought an Oberon alloy keyless race cap, a while ago, and when you fit it there is a few mm gap there between the alloy cap body and the tank body (that isn't there with the OEM cap - there's some sort of rubber gasket there) I did a little experiment with my old rusted tank and put a few mm thick adhesive foam around the cavity. Everything sat quite well, but I'm just wondering if I do this will I somehow "starve" the venting process?

Hi Wombat

To answer your first question, yes they do need a backing plate and it should be the same shape/size as the one that will be on the otherside of your fairing. I think the ones at the rear are a different size than the front ones.

Let me know if you want pics.

Cheers

Now call me stupid Bob but had the same dilema with fuel caps. I just used the rubber gasket from the original lockable cap ... or not possible in your case :?: :?:
