Rear Hugger Powerbronze TRX850

Post by rbaron25 » Sun Jan 30, 2011 1:18 pm

Hi Guys,
Put the rear hugger on... took the rear hugger off.
This looked way too close...
Have put some washers in one end and need to drill a hole in the front end to tie down like Fung suggested as well. Still not sure its going to fit.
Thought for sure a TRX rear hugger would fit no mods. Just beware team in case your thinking of the powerbronze guys off ebay...
I didn't see you...
Cause you didn't bloody look!

Tyres are all slightly different sizes and profiles so that may be the issue

FWIW, if it isn't rubbing it shoudl be fine - tyres don't expand that much

Yeah, if you ride in reverse . A hugger mounted like this can grab on the tyre and virtually explode, I've seen it happen, not pretty.

Well talked to Powerbronze guys and they said 7 to 10 mm clearance is about right....
Still going to pull it with a tie down at the front to be certain... 8)

before i repositioned my hugger and reset the chain tension, when i went up springbrook i picked up lots of stones which dragged themselves around and under the hugger!
terrible din and potentially a hugger explosion/major damage.
imho more is better on out roads o red one.
cheers
