Whwn I first looked this I couldn't find pics so here some are using Kaylas shock adapter it fits easy.



Bike on stands so shock can come out low budget just like my TRX will be.

yer 10 out of ten for this as an option for the rear end. You can't go wrong for the price so be good to hear your feedback on this also

Done 300 K's on it now its much better than the stocker I still need to get a tape out and set the loaded and static sags no time yet! I just wound it up till the static was around 10mm and rode. I'd like to see it at around 10mm static and 25-30mm loaded, I raced on a 07 R6 and needed a harder spring will be interesting to see how this pans out more feedback to follow next the forks and some FCR's

emulators are your next cheap option and springs for the front end and FCR's are cheap from the U.S. at present with the aussie dollar

hello there folks, im new to the forum

just a quickie regarding this shock swap

Is it a straight swap, i.e no modifications required to make the reservoir fit?

i have fitted a cbr600 shock to a vfr 400 and it required all kings of modding to make it fit, so im not averse to a challenge.

oh and what year r6 is it from?

R6 shock must be from a 06 or 07 R6, RJ11 i guess.

I've done the same modification including a 35mm high up kit and it's lot better than the the stock shock. The tire will not rip up so fast.

Quick question for the guys that have done this, what is the weight difference between the the stock shock, and the R6 unit with Kaylas mod on it?

The R6 shock is lighter

You need a 2006-on shock (2CO or 13S).
