search is your friend
As a starter for 10, you will need to use the TRX stem (so it needs to be pressed out of TRX yokes and into R1 yokes)

True, but the TRX stem wont fit it the R1 bottom yoke, it will need a sleeve or welded to increase it's diam and then machined down to size, I had a stem custom made for £80

You can make pretty much anything fit - just depends on how much work you're willing to do

Far as offset goes these (2004-2006) are good 30mm same ast the TRX not sure on the length though the earlier ones are longer I guess you could mods the newer ones for more travel easy enough to do. As for the rest search as above. I'm about to purchase some 04 clamps and 99 forks brakes etc can't decide what to do wheel wise. Mod the TRX wheel and forks to suit or use R1 and get an electronic speedo.

If you can get it, the FZ1 wheel and brakes will fit R1 forks as long as they are not radial. Cheeper as well

even if you use the TRX wheel you will not be able to use the speedo drive unless you weld a pin to the fork to stop the drive spinning

And you will also have to dick about with the spindle, spacers, caliper spacing and the correct size discs - not worth the agro IMHO

In terms of a matching pair; whats involved in putting an R1 rear wheel on the trx?
I am also presuming that the R1 wheel is wider, would it still fit in the swingarm, line up with the chain and be central? and even if it did all fit, would it be any good, handling wise?
Just kind of thinking outloud of maching wheels, shoot me down in flames if Im stupid

It's not a very common upgrade but can be done.
Assuming you have access to someone who can make you appropriate spacers, the 'trick' is with lining up the sprockets. I believe this requires the sprocket face to be taken down about 7mm (IIRC).
Are R1 wheels that different then?
