Swingarm etc... painted?

Is the swingarm painted, or coated in something or just bare metal? (what sort of metal?)

Also same questions on the rear silver engine cradle and the peg hangers?

Thinking of painting all these bits.

Usually go for powder coat, but would paint be better??

The swingarm is made from aluminium as is the H piece / casting, both are anodised. The footrest hangers are likely clear anodised too although I`ve not looked closely at any to be honest.
Bead blasting and powder coating would give the most durable finish.

Yes, I agree with Mincehead.

Had my engine cradle powder coated last winter. Looks awsome! Great thing with powdercoating is that you don't need to mask any surfaces. After the powder are aplied, you just brush off powder from the areas you want to keep clean (like where bearings go and such).

You could also have the bits unanodisised and then anodisise them again in a different collor. Looks even better. But since the bits you refering to is cast alloy, theres a risk of uneven colloring .
