carb rebuild rogue o-ring

Hi all,
I'm putting a keyster kit through my carbs and have a rogue o-ring in each set. I've been pulling the carbs apart and aligning each part i remove with each part in the kit, but I've obviously missed the removal of something cos there is a o-ring I cant find the partner of...

from L to R in the pic attached i believe I have; Tiny one in bag=misture screw spring, chubby little one=diaphragm end of carby, 142.5 main jet has its one around it, big thin one goes under throttle slide guide where the emulsion tube fits through, the next one goes on the float assembly... so its the one with the little screw driver pointing at it that has me flummoxed... any ideas gang?

Cheers CR. The tiny chubby one to the immediate right of the bag in the pic is the one that goes to the left of one of the screws that hold the diaphragm cover on (I've lost them in the past so it was at the top of my 'put where it belongs' list today). Is that the one you are talking about? or is there another one that goes somewhere near the diaphragm.

Either way, i got impatient and stopped hunting for it's originals and just put the carbs back together. They'll go back on the bike tonight or tomorrow so i'll know quite soon if there is something amiss.

Just a point of interest, my main jet was a 148... Somewhat larger than the 142.5 that came with the kit. I'm interested to see if there is any noticable difference. I always had a tiny bog down/flat spot in the first few mm of throttle travel, perhaps it was due to running rich?? Alex? I think they are the carbs I bought off you when I first got the trx, any recollection as to why they were running bigger jets?

Go back to the 142 Jim..The bike will love it.. My TRX had a similar gremlin when I first bought it and as soon as I placed new needles, tubes and original mains back in place I found 6Hp on the dyno... (std headers and staintunes)

Can't throw any light on those carbs Jim, they weren't modded as far as I know....it was put in for tuneing at mid town Kawasaki once.

Thanks for the responses guys. With the fresh carbs back on its running like a pig. It bogs down horribly at part throttle and even backfires if i give the throttle a decent twist at idle. One thing i noticed when I put the new emulsion tubes in is that they dont fit as snugly through the throttle slide guides as the old ones did... could that be an issue? The old ones required some pressure to get out whereas the new ones slipped in easily and had enough play to rattle a bit. though i guess with the end caps/collars on they wouldnt be moving anywhere.

I'm tempted to take it in to a pro for proper syncing and balancing and some dyno work cos I got a bit of cash atm and would love to have it running sweet as for once. Anyone game to suggest what sort of a ballpark I should expect $$ wise? There is only 1 place down here that I know of that does bike dyno tuning. I'll give then a buzz today.

Just a thought, Jim,..I have a set of OEM carbs that have 1000kays from the refit with same kit..
Wouldn't take much to swop them on as they worked well before I removed for the FCRs.
I also felt that the keyster kit was running lean on the middle of the three needle clips..so I went for the lowest clip setting.

Thanks for the offer Alex but its all good, I'll keep toying with this set. I'm about to hit the road again for work anyway so wont get to ride for at least a month.
