Temperature gauge

Hi guys

My trx temp guage just increases to the maximum as soon as the bikes ignition is turned on. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and knows what the answer would be. Before I go start replacing thermostats etc.

Either the temp sensor is faulty or the wire may be short circuit.
Try disconnecting the green/red wire from the top of the sensor. You probably need to lift the tank to get access to it.
If the sensor is faulty then you should see no movement in the gauge.
If the wire is shorted somewhere then you will still see the gauge move to max.
