Hi All , can someone help me please , l have finally got myself a lovely TRX , swiss model 1997 , registered in uk 2002 , 11000miles with loads of history , very pleased and had a ride out last sunday.
All was ok except a slight misfire/hunting at 2-2500 rpm on number 2 cyl, thought I should check and change plugs , they came out both the same correct colour.
Started up , misfire still there , thought the best to do was give the carbs and clean and whilst there replace the emulsion tubes which I got from NRP.
Carbs were quite clean but blew them out and checked float level , also checked float level with tube when fitted which seemed both the same and about the right level.
Started her up , needed choke and now shes really missing on number 2 at 1100rpm upwards , set up auxiliary fuel supply and remove air filter and noticed when she misses l can see fuel burnt/ignited under number2 butterfly.
Please any advice or help would be very much appreciated or a mechanic local with good knowledge of a TRX.
thanks in advance...... Will

To test that, have the engine idling, spray some carb cleaner on the rubbers and listen for any changes in the running of the engine.Snod Blatter wrote:Split carb to head rubber? Many are starting to perish nowadays..
