gear selection stops engine

Post by Mikerhayward » Mon Apr 11, 2016 9:32 am

Hi Guys

Decided to get the old rex up and running. Charged battery and new fuel. Engine runs great but when I de-clutch and select a gear the engine stops. Side stand up although the switch has been removed. I can't remember if there is a clutch switch. Any ideas. Thanks

There is a clutch switch.
The switch itself is part of the clutch lever perch on the handlebar.
The wires unplug from the switch, so can easily be bridged if the switch is broken or missing.
