???? help

Post by Steelback » Mon Mar 12, 2007 5:50 pm

Have been having problems with my TRX running rough under 3000 rpm and using a lot of fuel and also flooding easily.I have fitted a new air filter and repair kits for the carbs ( on stripping they were very clean and not flooded ), I have also fitted new NGK plugs but the b***ch still wont start and keeps flooding - what else could it be?????? :(

What have you done to the carbs? New emulsion tubes? New jets? Float bowl set correctly?

Check all of the hoses and also that fuel tap is not on prime (and that the kill switch is off!)

If you are getting fuel then the problem is most likley due to the spark? Are you getting a spark? Are the plugs gapped correctly?

Choke cable is not caught on something? or choke circuit in the carb faulty? Try leaning out the idle screw.

What clip are the needles on? 1st, 2nd or 3rd? Are both sides flooding or just the one?

Go back and check everything again paying special attention to the routing of all hoses amd make sure everything is connected as it should be (my money is on the vacuum hoses).
