just rode home on rc30................wow, awesome linear power right up to 12000+, have to slip clutch up to 30 mph on setoff as geared to over 90 in first!! with another 5 gears. Suspicions confirmed when spoke to original owner who bought bike for sponsored rider who finished 17th in f1 1990 TT and confirmed all engine work done by Tony Scott (still to speak to him as to amount of work done) but as power sooo smooth from 3000 right up to whatever and has standard can fitted.
Have all old mot certificates and has done 8500 miles since finished racing in 93, but bike failed mot today, but tester great and allowed me to disconnect one offending headlight that proved awkward to adjust there and then and wrote certificate so just have to tax tomorrow and fully legal for Isle of Man in four weeks!!
Still looking for motor for my Trx, so if anyone has a spare would be very grateful
regards

bike looks totally standard..............only engine tuned when new by Tony Scott to full F1 spec as raced for first three years of its life, TT, NW200 etc, meeting original owner who sponsored rider, he has all engine spec and race results and photographs, bike awesome just like Trx only quite different. Absolute peach of an engine surprisingly very torquey pulls like a japanese bullet train

Hello
A Honda it is....
but al least you still got the TRX
But I wonder, why all this effort, only to go 2 the TT... I'd rather let the TT pass and spend (all) the money on the TRX.... IMHO
I hope you'll find a spare engine soon.

Re: heart versus head!!!
IT WAS A DRAW...............but it took a helluvva long time!!!!!
After waving bye to th'old virgin trx last year, trawlin fleabay late at night,
couldn't believe my mince pies, replica virgin trx (only without virgin paint)
same colour, pipes, pillion cover, belly pan, blue spots, red paint with repainted black frame and less than 8000 miles, Billyboys25 on here, collecting this weekend, just can't get a trx out of your blood!!
Anybody know the bike (other than Tom)
Weekend can't come too soon!!
Good job that it has the bits I just sold already on
Good to be home
Cheers

Now your showing your age Glyn, ELP, Prog rock, and what a show they put on
not wanting to hijack this thread but I thought for a moment about starting one that offered us the chance to say who and when was the first concert you went to, then I realised when it was and thought most of the forum wasn't born then!!!
ps Led Zeppelin Earls Court - 1975 or 6 - forget now
Glyn..
