Quan, you delivered a hell of a job on this bike. Two thumbs up and for the rest: ride it!

@ twinlovin
Yer suspension is basically sorted now.. Still need to play with rebound / damp settings but its all good now...
And that rad bottle is "temp" it will be changing shortly. !
@ ridgifumi
I understand its a bit... "hethanish" to do what i did.. But im not fussed. I had a goal and went for it. I respect that some ppl wont like it and say its too ugly / main stream / uneeded plastics / etc.. As for TRX in a R1.. dont start on me.. im still getting that from mates. ;)

@ punica78
yes.. ride it i shall !

Quan, a job well done, I can't say how impressed I am. Many people spend years to acchieve the same. The only thing I am a bit reluctant of is the front fairing and the lines. Have You thought of cutting the front fairing so it matches the lines of the frame, displaying a bit more of the engine?

Quan, Lovely job. Like Hans, I would probably remove a bit more fairing to see some more engine, but then that's just a personal choice thing, not a criticism. (I wish I could do so good a job). You say you have more plans for it , would that include a really full length belly pan, say back past the dogbones?
Rubber side down, Red side up is my preferred riding style.

Hope those plans still include the 900 motor. More than anything else i want to see 900 Fuel injection, 6 speed and well over 100hp - without these things being economically acheiveable (eg cheapr than upgrading to a 904ie monster) Roxie will be moving on at some point.

If you really want 100hp+, all you need to do is find a tatty TL-S...for the money that conversion would cost you, you could keep both bikes. BTW, you realise that post is 18 months old? :D

im aiming for 120hp. So far im fairly much on track to achieve it. 907cc, higher compression, EFI, custom cam to suit the head (flowed, etc..) crank is lightened with new carrillo rods, gearbox is currently receiving some tweaking. So its still a bit off. But things are slowly coming together.

As for fairings, i dont have huge plans to make much more in the way of cosmetics. I very well could fit on the lower panels to suit the mids that are on there now. I would need to do some fibreglass work to make them fit properly around the timing cover as the R1 is different location. But its very possible i might try it. Obviously need to make way for the exhaust aswell.

Im still deciding how im gonna run the exhaust. If i keep the twin (which i REALLY like), go full single (like arkapovic or something) or make a custom job like Bob did (that was damn sexy, so i might steal the idea). Part of it relies on the shape that the head ends up like. And i need to make a new airbox later on as the inlet ports are gonna be reshaped, lifted and slightly re-angled. Im gonna try a bit of ram-air induction aswell. So i need to make some plumbing for that. Because i have EFI and a 02 sensor, it wont lean out (not that i think it will get that bad anyway)

So summary is this. Final "shape" and look of the bike is not total yet. Once the new engine goes in, ill be able to sort it out a bit further.
I tend to work on the bike for a bit, then ride it, work a bit more, ride, etc.. rather than take it off the road for excessive periods of time.
