"Alleged to benefit"...
I think I probably put as many or more 'miles' on my TRX on the track as I did the street. On the track, the rear end sends me a memo (on paper), then a fax, followed by an email and finally a live announcement before it decides to step out. Gosh, it was so much fun watching those R1s and Gixxers leaned over and too scared (or smart) to open their throttles while I just whacked open the FCRs and smiled. Sure they bolted past me down the straight, then lifted their arse ends, wobbled around on the front for a bit when I finally closed the throttle beside them at the 100m mark (they did it many, many meters before...) and let them try to repeat the process again and again. Most gave up and pitted, complaining of setup problems and alignment of the stars.
Of course, your milage (and length of straights...) may vary.

I had a similar experience with an R1 on the track of Assen in 2006. On the straight and on the back part of the circuit, comming out of 'Strubben' he overtook me, pure 'on power'. But then again I overtook him shortly after both straights. After a round of five, I didn't notice him around me anymore. At the end of the session he said to me; "After a while I've got tired of you overtaken me on the in- and outside, that's why I took some distance".
