Ive lost all me drive!!!!
Howdy doody to you all,
Im going mental in my garage trying to solve this puzzle and have finally admitted defeat and i need your expert opinions please.
Just put in the divvy600 clutch cable i bought as the extended one i had in was mahoosive, set it up as close as i could to what the original trx cable was at. Also bear in mind that a while back i had the casings off to have them polished but i put them back 100% identical to how they came apart.
Anyhoo i get all clobbered up to go for a quick test run, fire her up, pull clutch in (feels slightly heavy), select first, feed lever out waiting for the bite...and out...and out... the lever is fully out before i know it and the bike hasnt moved!!!! Theres no noise from the engine or meshing/grinding noises etc from the clutch either.
Could this come from just a incorrectly set up clutch cable or is there a bigger picture.
Help would be greatly appreciated as im gagging to get out, cheers.

Yeah good try pal!!
You know your pulling the lever in thats for sure, but compared to other clutches i cant say if its ott heavy or not. Dont think its been that heavy before, fitted short crg levers but that shouldnt affect things. Will have to have a play i suppose.
Not had the clutch apart only removed the cover and the operating mechanism shaft but that was installed spot on.

You are a gentleman martin and if you really want to give up your sunday morning then a second opinion from a trxer would be great, dont let it interfere with church though eh
Morning is better for me if thats ok, i will defrost the sausages then!!

You will be pleased to hear that all is well and ive been out on the rex this afternoon and had a ball
Many thanks to mr Young who popped round and quickly found what i had missed, i had put the mechanism operating lever on the spline by about 10mm out of alignment. So even though the lever was working when the clutch lever was pulled in and out, it was not quite enough to engage/disengage the clutch. After 15 mins of jiggery pokery with the circlip and cable all was sorted, so i will hopefully see you all at the Avebury meetup.
Out of interest what sort of temps does your water temp guage read on a day like today? It was early to mid 20 degrees here, i was out for about 30 mins and not ragging the arse off of it and it read about 80 degrees.
Thats the first time its been run for about 6 months so cant remember what the norm is. Dont know if the different temp sender unit ive fitted would make things run abit hotter or not??
I fitted a mini chrome guage that would only run with its own sender unit, dont know if im being paranoid but the engine and water pipes seemed quite hot. The fan never kicked in so i suppose thats something!!
