top hat bush order number??

Post by billy budge » Sun Sep 02, 2007 2:21 pm

Hey y'all, im after info from anybody who has access to order numbers of yam parts ie micro fiches etc, cant find the part number myself.

Image

Im after the little top hat bush that fits inside the lower chain guide, little rubber jobbie that sits on the lower cross member under the swingarm - where the lower shock mount bolts up to.
I ordered the part from my yam dealer and after a lengthy discussion making sure he knew the part for sure that i wanted, he has still got me the wrong part. :x
He has ordered me the plate that fits over the main chain guide that bolts to the side of the swingarm. Dont know if i can get top hat bushes anywhere or it has to be a genuine yam part??

Cheers.

Can you post a photo of where it fits? I don't recognise it from your description and can't see anything like it on the fiche.

Pics taken looking towards the front sprocket martin, the rubber sits between the chain and the cross member beam. Just there to protect the beam from chain whip i believe.
Couldnt see it on any drawings i could find. :?
If the photos are no good let me know, was taken on my phone in a hurry!!

Having looked again, the only bottom chain guide I can see is located on top of the engine mount frame, which is where the shock upper (not lower) mount bolts to.

I don't have a part number but it is item 18 on the fiche showing the frame and engine mount. It is in the middle at the bottom of the picture on the fiche. Yer man might be able to find the part from that description!!!
