Tyres for commuting

i'm not going to get into an arguement about this, mainly coz i cant be arsed, but more importantly coz i aint a tyre designer.

No I'm not a tyre designer... but I can read. Motorcycle Tuning, Chassis by John Robinson ISBN 0 7506 341840 X is a good place to start

Bridgestone do not make a BTt45 to fit a TRX according to their website.

H rating is up to 210kph... a TRX can exceed this speed
V rating is up to 240kph... stock geared TRX rated as 235 ( overgeared me thinks)

Tyre designer or not my 40hp 170kg wet GS500 wears its BT45s out at the same rate as my 210kg 76hp TRX wears out its Pilot Roads so changing to a TDM rim to fit the largest BT45 would be a poor choice... in my practical non-engineers experience. But as I don't have a degree WTF do I know.

I don't read anything personal in what the Seagull said, if anything it was about his own knowledge of tire design...

Nah, don't lurk. It's just that "words" get taken out of context much faster on "forums" than in real life. It took me YEARS to figure this out...

I just (admin mode on) don't want to see members getting upset about comments from other members if at all possible.

words on a forum can be taken differently so easily

thats why there are emotes

which i forgot to use

its difficult to get a sense of sarcassam or humour etc unless you know the person in RL

remember the old joke about her indoors misunderstanding things
*if i say something that can be taken in 2 different ways and 1 of those upsets you, i meant the other one*
same goes for people on forums dicussing contentious issues.

i sympathise Max, i mod & admin a large number of forums (for work and personal use) and its always difficult keeping a balance between
allowing people to express an opinion and stopping things getting nasty(hence my reluctance to argue a point).
