Took me less than an hour, longest was removing the top yoke, had to undo the bars, clocks etc, mine is not standard it has had renthals and different clocks fitted by the previous owner. I was lucky to have some very good quality drill bits, that made it easier.
This is what it looked like, will post another of the new paint job when it's all back together.

OK, slightly off topic but on the matter of locks and getting keys cut: I gather that a favourite trick with theives that want to nick a specific bike, is to remove that helmet lock that many bikes have under the seat unit, take it away and get a key cut to fit. Most of these locks are just bolted on with a couple of bolts, (which makes you wonder how secure they are anyway) I understand that they will even replace your's with a duplicate item while they are off down the locksmiths. I don't think the TRX has one of these, but my Kawasaki certainly did.

It should be held on with security torx (with a raised knob in the middle) - not the same as standard torx
any hardware or tool suppliers have security torx bits, well they do here in tassie, my last drill bit, security t15 torx cost me $7.00, thats probably 50p in euro

:D See If you can get shear bolts, that should cause the scumbags to move on to another bike!

I just love the fact that they are security bolts. But any fool with a 5er can get the bit and do what ever they want.
Is it Brock friendly???

Which is why any form of non-standard security is probably wise.
