Tyres

Post by kookimonsta » Sun Feb 24, 2008 8:51 pm

eventually im going to need some new tyres for the trx. now what do you use? im a bridgstone man but there have been alot of really good reports on the michelin pilot power 2ct and im thinking about a set!

im running 010's at the min. the bike will only be used for nice days for fast 600 road chasing poss the occasional trackday so wear rates not much of an issue.

I've just got a new one on the back. Though I've barely scrubbed it in I can't comment on it much.

Dunlop Qualifier
Will try out their new ones next time around, been getting good reviews.
Their RR tyre seems to be kinda crap though

i use to use pirellis but i didnt get on with them, i mainly had them because of the cheap deals i could get in the trade but i was given a set of 020 by someone and uses them (on a bandit) and i couldnt believe the lean angles i could achieve compaired. (even tho their a touring tyre)

but on the other note ive never used a really soft tyre on the road but seeing as the trx will only be used for nice days and playing i think i may give it ago.

Have a set of Pilot Road 2 tyres on my Rex... they are a brilliant. Put a stack of kays on my bike so have tried 010/014/020 'stones, Metz M1 & Z6, first gen Pilot Roads, Pilot Sports, Pilot Powers, Dunlop D208 & D205 & Conti road attacks.... Pilot Road 2 are by far the best.

Now with 140,000 on the clocks, X-mas tree didn't kill it & I still love it.

Pirelli Diablos or Bridgestone Bt 021s
