respray... HELP!!!

Post by hoppy850 » Sun Jun 08, 2008 12:06 pm

ive recently bought my first trx 850, its in really good condition, it still has the original paint, it is an australian delivered model.
im considering pulling it apart and colour coding the frame the same as the import. i also wish to paint the wheels, if anyone has any advice in this area it would be much apreciated.

im also cosidering painting the engine black.

black motors look the shizzle, so do black frames, swing arms, body work and wheels. have a look at my bike for the black motor, the body will be black hopefully by next week, and the frame when i get time.

use VHT engine enamel from rocket indestries (they the sister company to pioneer in nz and pioneer is the nz importer and i think rocket is the oz importer)for the motor, works real well
Is it Brock friendly???

Advice - prep, prep and more prep.

Painting the engine means a complete tear down and (speaking from experince) it is very hard to get a consistent finish on the motor.

I'd powder coat the frame and wheels if I was you
