My YZF swinger....

Post by Killerwhale » Fri Jul 04, 2008 6:27 pm

Ok, so the dude selling it said it was bolt on but of cource the sprockets did not line up...fekker...

So with limited tools i used a flex cutter (free translation) and made a 6mm distance for the front sprocket and all good....although crude...

Question, should you keep it this way or machine anything alse??

...big blob of loctite on that nut now!! [-o<

:? Did you move the sprocket out by 6mm?, and If so did you not try turning the rear sprocket around. What is a flex cutter?

:D My rear sprocket is dished, so turning it round makes it nearer the wheel.

:? Was on the original wheel, however I believe trixynut had dealt with dished discs before.
Will look tomorrow, as got to work now.

I know that the stock disc is dished but i don´t want to be locked to a 39 one...BUT if that make´s me able to screw in the front sprocket nut i guess it´s worth it.... :!:

Only sprocket I could find with a recess to allow flipping to move it inwards was AFAM. They do a standard TRX one, plus a 39? tooth one for the TDM900 which fits.

Top!!

I´ve been looking at some pictures of the swinger as well....it seems as many has the nut on the opposite side to the TRX...does that make any difference?
