Belly pan or not?

I have to say, one of the first things I did when I brought home a TRX many years ago was to buy a belly pan. I just didn't like the half fairing look and thought it needed a bellypan to balance the looks. In my time, I've owned a short belly pan, mid length belly pan, a Harris belly pan and used a chopped down R6 belly pan.

But now, I can't bring myself to put it back on again - I think my bike looks way better without one.

What say you?

Vote cast: you should definitely get a pan for your belly.

Does depend on the TRX though: type of pipework, fairing, bikes colour etc. you've got.

I'm with Dave on that one, cleans up the bottom end, whilst still allowing the motor to be seen, also gives it a little bit of a flowing race line, as per a fully faired bike.

Looking to put one on, but then you move away from the naked bike look. For that matter, might as well putt on full faring or get yourself a R1 or something with full faring.

So I say, no belly pan.

Keeps some of the winter / rainy summer shite off the engine. Can't be a bad thing. And even my crap powerbronze one looks OK - at least until I melted it.

I've voted on the last option.... on some it will look nice, on some it don't, depends on the colour, options, the belly pan size etc.

Personally.... mine is never gonna get one

my vote goes against too !!! I was convinced when i visited M and P swansea and saw two trx's with belly pans, talked to the two owners responsible for the bikes... and come to the conclusion keep it clean, keep that engine clean and exhaust pipes well polished and show off all your hard polishing work and keep bike in the house for winter out of the salt.............

Well i got a belly pan on mine as i think That thay need something to clean up the lower edge of the motor. im having to look for another one as my one melted after a ride to Portsmith. not happy.

Mine came with a red one and i took it off because it looked like a bit of tat.... and it was tatty and the wrong colour. each to their own, but i prefer without.
