that orangeish is the reason i am painting my bike, the factory red has turned the tank orange. if thats where the colour match came from and the bike was faded like mine then the new paint would be off as well.

It doesnt look that orange in the flesh so to speak probably cos i took the picture with my mobile
as for colour match it's by eye, comparing the tank and the plastics to a degree, was the best i could find in halfords rattle cans actually it's Nissan Red 526

The rear disc and sprocket are both done in the same but came out darker as i'd already hammerited them
the front discs were powder coated by another company and do look a bit orangey in the right light, very happy with the wheels though.

Overall i'm happy with the result for the cost and just as well too as i've now got to shell out for another diablo
as i got a frikkin nail in the week old rear yesterday - still REALLY peed off about that at the moment.

I love the Red /Black colour. I would say that as mine is red / i hate any other colour on my bike other than Red / Black / silver.

What I like about the Red/Black colour scheme is the way it fades on the rear fairing from red to black, I know it is only a sticker, but the transition is brilliant. Also the front fairing transition from black to white to red is the same how many bikes do you see that have this transition and realllly works ?

I had a few mates recently see my bike and really loved the colour scheme, they thought it was freshly painted when i told them it was 9 year old they could not believe it.

The rear sticker number board area is also a great the silver stripe thing. I am hoping to recreate this on my wheels with wheeel stickers not sure if it will work other than that it will be polished wheel rims..........

Agreed the bluespots look a bit out of place though but they're functional and thats the important bit for now.

get some drain cleaner on the blue spots to remove the anodising simple job, they wont stick out then.

You have to take them off the forks tho' you can leave the hoses on. and rest the calipers on a brick or something just a couple of crystals caustic soda in each star pot thing and hot water stir with a cotton bud and voila no more blue anodising....
