Help with riding position ******* please
hello all,
i love my trx, its everything i want from a bike - but i have had some rugby injuries at the moment and the position of the foot pegs and handle bars are alittle unconformtable.
could some one please give me some suggestions on both making the foot rest in a more comforery position for my sore knees and also
how do i go about raising my handle bars for improved back support?
im still new to all of this and if you could break it down and make it very basic it would be very much apprieated,
regards,
Darren C

Knock off playing Rugby would be a good start.
Buy a Airhawk seat thing , it will raise your backside probable enuf to change the position of the dodgy knees.

before you start spendign money, try moving teh clip ons under the top yoke. The change in position may help.
Otherwise you are in the realms of top yoke conversions and rearsets. Or (as has been suggested) a pillow under your arse

Re: Help with riding position ******* please
Hi Loud Pipes!
What some German TRX riders did when they wanted a more comfy riding position was to exchange only the clamps of the handle bars: left <-> right.
The effect is that the tubes are a little higher, a little less inclined (nearly horizontal) and a little more directed to the outside - quasi an intermediate thing between original position and superbike conversion. And one of the advantages of this method is that the steering tubes remain at their positions and therefore no longer cables are needed!
The exchange is very easy and should be done in about 20 minutes (and is free!):
Disassemble the clamps from the tubes - a little cap at the end of the tube in the clamp covers the cylinder-head-bolt.
Mount the LH clamp upside down on the RH tube and vice versa.
Mount the clamps on the forks.
Ready
I haven't ridden a TRX with such exchanged clamps yet but already sat on one - it feels quite good and is on the one side not too far from the original position but is on the other side noticeable more upright.
Happy fiddling if you try this and keep us posted (pics) of your solution.
Ah, by the way there are some pics of the exchanged clamps - sorry they are quite big!
EDIT: New (old) pictures from HENK from the German forum - now clickable and stored "forever"
BTW, in the meantime, HENK noticed that a spacer bushing of at least about 9 mm to estimated 15 mm height would prevent the handle bars / levers from touching the fairing.

Suggesting greetings from Munich!

that's not a bad idea. Dunno if it would help with the knees though, you need to stretch them out, might be worth putting them under the yoke as suggested.
