Yeah, I might have two white wheels or just go with the original colour. I'd rather like to have frame and wheels powdercoated in a sort of titanium colour, but I ride the bike every day so won't be stripping it down in the near future! I like the dark forks a lot, although they are the primitive '94 models without all the adjustment.
That's just a bog standard dark smoke flip screen - it had rubber trim on the edge back in 1997, but I think it flew off at high speed and I never replaced it. Think it's a "nuvo", whatever that is when it's at home. It basically just raises the windblast a little higher in the air, which gives you a little more still air when tucked in if you're tall-ish like me. Unless you're a person of reduced stature, you still get the same windblast when sat up, it just moves upwards a bit. As far as looks are concerned, it makes the TRX with stock forks look a bit like a Divvy from the front 3/4, but a bit meaner from the rear 3/4 (which is the TRX's best angle anyway, IMO).
Those are the contour race items, so they will probably turn out to be highly inappropriate on the road. All I can say so far is that 6 pots + 320 discs = serious brake torque. They're sharper than the bluespots they replaced, which I put down to increasing the disc diameter, although if you ask EBC they say the alloy used for the disc is higher friction. Certainly I don't see any reason why they should be worse than fancy Galfer, Braking, etc. models. I weighed them and posted the weight to another thread on them - think it was 1400 grams each (320s, remember, not the stock TRX 300 (298?)mm items)? Don't know if the Galfers have a weight advantage.
Although I've just been tiptoeing through the ice and slush with my new front tyre, those forks really are a huge improvement on the TRX ones. Probably won't make it any faster round a track with me on it, but like the Ohlins shock, it will add an extra safety margin of wheel compliance if you screw up and go into a corner "hotter" than you intended. If I had to do it again, I'd go R1 though. Much lighter, esp. as you can use 4-pots, 298mm discs, lighter front wheel, shorter (lighter) forks, etc. The only problem is getting the spacer I believe you need for the triple clamps. No problem if you have lathe skillz I suppose.

Out of interest what screen is that you have on your TRX? I'm after a flip screen as I've tried 'double trouble' ones and never been convinced that the wind blast is reduced as promised.
Be interested to hear how you get on with the EBC Contour discs (correct?) too. They seem keenly priced and a sensible upgrade without going to the more extreme costs of Galfers.
