Headlight problems

Post by handyman0708 » Sun Mar 08, 2009 7:21 am

Got a TRX with baftermarket twin bulb setup- can that way when I bought the bike- problem- over time both low beam bulbs have simply blown/ gone out- but replacement bulbs apprear to be made from the rare material- unobtainium- as they can not be bought in Australia- as far as I can find out they are a variation on the halogen H4 but carry the specification of MH6R- does anyone know where I can get replacement- perhaps even at a reasonable price- could get some that were close but would have to attack them with a file to make them fit in the bulb holder- and they were $86 (AUD) each- thats $172 to replace the two bulbs- or is it easier to try to locate a standard, secondhand TRX headlight. MH6R is basically a very small form H4.

is it a light off a fzr400???? dose it fit in to the trx mount and fairing. if so then its a projector headlight.

if so use the search it has been covered here lots and lots of times.

no nothing else will work. guys that have moded bulbs to work are not normaly to happy with the result.
off the top of my head they are about 15 quid ( so thats approx 33AUD) and the freight will not be to bad.

but like i said its been covered here as every one with your problem brings the subject up when they discover the cost.
Is it Brock friendly???
